A crew member proudly poses next to C&EI 2-8-2 #1908. Alco-Brooks built #1908 in September of 1912. The loco was fast and powerful and ended up serving both passenger and freight service. The loco was finally retired and sold for scrap to Erman-Howell Division of Luria Brothers in February of 1950. Original specs -serial #51853, N-1 class, 63" drivers, 175 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine weight of 300,000 lb, tractive effort of 55,533 lb.
